The 4L Trophy (organizer: http://www.4ltrophy.com/) is a benefit desert rally spanning nearly 4,000 miles from Paris to Marrakech, which is based on the “Paris-Dakar” rally. Only Renault 4 vehicles are approved for the rally.
Each participating vehicle must carry at least 110 lbs. of educational material and 22 lbs of food for school children in Morocco. The first event took place in 1998 and was initiated and organized by six French students. The event has grown consistently since then and today is famous, especially in France. This year, the number of registered vehicles exceeded 1,400 for the first time.
This year, ZARGES will be among the sponsors, so that drivers and participants can safely and efficiently store their equipment in aluminum storage cases for the rally. How well our cases fit into the small vehicles is demonstrated by the team from Darmstadt, Germany. Clemens Bugiel, Paul Felber, Martin Legleitner & Patrick Otto were on the road in their two Renault 4s from February to March of this year – you can read the full fascinating story on this page: http://r4d4.org/
We hope that the rally will be a success again next year and already wish all participants lots of fun for the preparation.
